Amagratings Initiative
Amagratings (Pty) Ltd is a level 5 BEE initiative, offering a quality product range of gratings, handrails, expanded metals and scaffolding to various power generation plants, mines and other industries.
Amagratings utilises Vital Engineering (Pty) Ltd as its primary works operations, thusly able to offer the Vitagrid grating, the Maclock handrailing system, a solid forged handrailing system and a full range of expanded metals.
Vitagrid Walkway Flooring
Vitagrid open steel rectangle or square pattern flooring is manufactured from mild steel, 350WA material, stainless steel and aluminium and is constructed by a pressure forged process in which the load bearing and transverse bar are joined under pressure. Vitagrid is available in standard panel form, normally ex stock in various standard sheets. Tailored fabrications of bespoke orders are manufactured from purpose made panes to reduce costs and wastage.
Maclock Handrails
Vital have developed safety, industrial and architectural systems. The systems are in use in areas such as power generation, petrol chemical and Anglo Platinum Mines (solid forged type), mining and many other industries.
Our products are tested and approved to the stringent DIN standards and certification is available on request. Due to various requirements, we have selected and define the numerous loading criteria and designed our systems to meet these accordingly.
Solid Forge Handrails
Loadings are available upon request. Solid stanchion and ball diameters – 32mm with 60mm ball (Type SG/32/60/25) is available. All hand-knee rails and bends can be supplied in 25mm diameter.
